Goode History
By Ellen Constantine

The Moorman Historical Lectureship will present the Honorable Virgil H. Goode, Jr. on Sunday,  April 7,  at 2 p.m.
The title of the lecture is "Reflections on life in Southwestern Virginia."  Goode will draw on his memories of growing up in Franklin County in the last half of the century,  observing the creation of Smith Mountain Lake,  and representing the area residents in the Virginia Senate.

The lecture,  free and open to the public,  will be presented at the Trinity Ecumenical Parish on Route 122, one mile south of the Hales Ford Bridge.  Light refreshments will be served.  For more information call 540-297-6368.
