Swing into Summer and our Community 8th Annual Corporate Cup Monday, May 3rd at The Waterfront By Micah Gaudio
With everything that goes on here at the lake, no one can do it all. However, there are several events that just shouldn’t be missed. If you’re a business owner here, the 8h Annual Smith Mountain Lake Chamber /Partnership Corporate Cup is one of those events. It’s a great way to showcase your company, meet new business prospects and entertain top clients – all while enjoying a day of fun at one of our area’s most beautiful courses. You don’t have to be a serious golfer to enjoy this day. It’s really a place to meet other lake-area professionals and keep tabs on what’s going on in our community. You know, it has been said that many of the most important business deals take place on the golf course. We facilitate that even more through our sponsorship packages. Take a look at how many options there are for you to get your name out in front of 120 area professionals. This year we are even adding a prize on every hole. If you would like to donate a $100 gift and get your name out on the course, it’s easy. This event is also a very important way to support the Chamber/Partnership. The SMLCCP began hosting the Smith Mountain Lake “Corporate Cup” golf tournament in 1997.The tournament serves as the primary non-dues fund-raiser for the Chamber/Partnership and helps them do everything from run the visitor’s center to enhance tourism and make improvements to our area. The Cup takes place Monday, May 3rd at The Waterfront Country Club. The “18-hole Four-Person Modified 2 Best Ball” tournament gets underway at1:00 p.m. with a shotgun start. Each player will also receive lunch, a cocktail reception and dinner. The tournament field is limited to 120 players, so you better act fast to ensure your spot.
