Active and inactive nurses meet twice a year for a social gathering and an educational presentation on health-related topics. The club currently consists of about 90 nurse members. There are no membership fees but since meetings usually include lunch, a flat fee is charged to cover costs. Meeting dates vary but members are notified once a date is set. Many members are also involved in volunteer work such as serving as patient advocates at the Bedford Hospital.
