Want To Learn How To Wakeboard? These Guys Can Help

By Micah Gaudio

You’ve seen the Roll to Revert, the Tantrum, the 720 and beyond, and the Raley. You’ve dreamed of someday soaring over your neighbor’s dock. You’ve even browsed through the local board shop wondering what the difference in all those colorful boards could be. Well, stop dreaming and start learning. Right now is the best time to actually do something. Whether you’re a skier, a beginning boarder, or an advanced boarder looking to learn some new tricks, there’s a class for you at SML.

Wake-N-Skate board shop, located at Bridgewater Plaza, boasts some of the best instructors around, including Eric Gerner, who finished third at the World Wakeboard Championships last year in Australia. If these guys can’t help you out, you might as well go back to knee boarding.

Wake-N-Skate Lessons & Clinic

Free Beginners Demo (Every other Sunday)

Get out on the boat and watch the Wake-N-Skate team. Beginners can ride along with the team and get a free introduction to wakeboarding. While this is not a lesson, each clinic will be filled with do’s and don’ts, wakeboarding tips and safety precautions. It’s the perfect way to find out if wakeboarding is for you.

If you’re interested, Wake-N-Skate can help you choose the board, bindings and equipment that are right for you. With their Board Demo program, you can try out a board for $30 and if you like it, that fee is applied to the purchase.
