Need for SpeedBy Andie Gibson Accurately driving today’s boats for water skiing and wakeboarding can be challenging for even the best of drivers. The PerfectPass® system makes a consistent speed possible with a marine “cruise” control. With PerfectPass®, you simply pre-select the speed on the in-dash display, pull the rider up normally and, when the boat reaches the set speed, PerfectPass® takes over. Most ski boat manufacturers offer PerfectPass® as an upgrade, but you can add the system to an older model. The Cruise recreational system retails for $675 or upgrade to the Wakeboard Pro system for $1,099. Contact a local boat sales center for more information.
