Best Photos Ever Meet the Laker Photographers By Micah Gaudio James Roney James acquired his first camera at the age of 12, instantly fell in love and has pursued a career in photography ever since. His deep passion and sharp skills have made him one of the most sought-after photographers in the area. James has been a photographer for the Laker since 2004 and his photos have graced the cover four times. James, who shoots with a Canon EOS 1-D Mark II-N camera, is also available for weddings, family reunions and other events. 540.400.1173, roneyphotography.com Micah Gaudio He might have no idea what an F-Stop is but he has an uncanny ability to get the lens in the right place at the right time. Micah does not like to be photographed (for reasons obvious to those who’ve met him) and prefers not to be credited when his photos are published. His passion is shooting water action imagery and Lake scenes. He shoots with a 10 mega-pixel Sony DSC-R1. 540.721.4675 Ray Reynolds Ray took up photography 10 years ago, shortly after his wife passed away. “I needed a positive outlet to keep me going, and photography was it,” he said. His hobby soon turned into a profession when others began recognizing his talents. Ray, who has worked for the Laker for about a year, enjoys shooting portraits, weddings, nature scenes and sports. He’s been the official photographer for several local professional race car drivers and tracks. He uses a Nikon D2X and a D200. 276.647.7427, piedmontdigital.com
